About The Farm
For as long as I can remember I have always wanted to be a farmer. However, not coming from a farming background myself made it an unlikely dream. After much persuasion, my parents allowed me to keep a small flock of hens for egg production. By the time I was sitting my A levels the laying flock had grown to nearly 100 birds, and I was rearing and selling point of lay pullets
In June 2011 my wife and I were fortunate enough to buy our first home together, with a piece of land directly behind the house that we could rent. Within the first year, three mobile sheds were erected to house three small flocks of Hubbard Chickens and Aylesbury Ducks.
It is here that Postance Poultry began and it is still very much at the same scale of production. From the rearing of the chicks through to the processing of the birds, we pride ourselves on the great lengths that we go to to ensure that the health and welfare of all our birds is always at the highest standard possible
