Let’s talk about Thelma. The legend that once went down Carmarthen streets in a bath full of milk… why? To protest the price of milk; that it’s cheaper to bath in milk than water!
Thelma Caerphilly is named after Thelma Adams, who started cheese production with her husband Gwynfor on their farm Glyneithinog in the mid 1980s in response to the introduction of milk quotas.
Thelma Caerphilly is a more mature version of their traditional Caerffili. It has a loose and slightly crumbly texture with a delicate lemony flavour.
